Discovering the World of Visual Arts, inspired by the work of Jannis Psychopedis

A series of workshops that invite children and adult chaperones to engage in fun movement-based activities, participate in theater games and music education activities, and take a deeper look at the artist's work, surrounded by live music and art.

Finally, children take away their own, original work of art, while exploring the works on view at Jannis Psychopedis's exhibition, focusing on the artworks inspired by different poets’ work.

The five senses, a magic gift

In December’s new workshops prompted by Jannis Psychopedis’s visual dialogue with the poet Kiki Dimoula, children weave a holiday tale that sparks the imagination. Guided by all five senses, they help the story’s character reach his destination.

Under the Palm Tree

Also, in January’s workshop (02/01), they get inspiration from Jannis Psychopedis’s dialogue with Kostis Palamas and explore the landscape conjured by the visual artist and the poet, inspired by the poem The Palm Tree. Never failing to move readers, this poem evokes the incessant cycle of life and nature in a tale about life under a large tree, a fable about beginnings and ends.
