On Thursday, December 3rd, at 18:00, “Sports Excellence”, which operates under the scientific supervision of the 1st Orthopedic Clinic of the Medical School of Athens, in conjunction with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, presents a discussion on the topic of “Synergy and Disability” at the SNFCC Lighthouse.
The discussion panel will be made up of organizations that, using the experiences of their members, will attempt to demonstrate the positive impact on their lives. Organizations that, through these challenging times, have a vision and support their members in taking risks, and standing up to stereotypes, difficulties and obstacles, to help them live brighter, happier lives. Synergy, then, for a cause that transcends the obvious and is governed by values that withstand the test of time, such as giving and philanthropy. Joining the discussion live will be athletes and artists whose career in sports and the arts, and their way of life in general, exemplifies all of the above.
This discussion is a call to all groups living with disability and who wish to claim for themselves a life of dignity, respect, hope and joy. The event is coordinated by the “Regeneration & Progress” NGO, and comes under a program funded by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
