Creative Wardrobe Renewal: Embellishing our Fabrics with Threads and Colors!
Tapping into the concept of reuse, and inspired by the new installation Return to Sender that will be hosted at the SNFCC from 26/04/2023 to 30/09/2023, this workshop will show us how, instead of throwing out our old clothes and fabrics, we can easily and quickly transform and renew them.
At our May meeting, we are creatively renewing our monochrome Members’ tote bag, while in June we use our old clothes and fabrics as the canvas for our artistic creations.
During these meetings, we will learn to paint and embroider on fabric: We will be taught the four basic embroidery stitches, which are perfectly adequate to allow us to draw and color on fabric; at the same time, we will also have fabric markers at our disposal, which will allow us to create a unique combination of painting and embroidery.
At the May meeting, participants are advised to bring along with them the new Membership Program tote bag .
