Comic: All weather heroes - May - Εικόνα

Hercules, Achilles, Robin Hood, Albert Einstein, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Harry Potter, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Mythical, epic, historical and fictional characters, personalities of politics, science and sports, are hero-worshiped and become role models and a source of inspiration for mankind.

Why are they described as heroes? Is a hero only someone who demonstrates courage, bravery and self-sacrifice in order to help people, or are our parents, perhaps, heroes too?

In this creative workshop, through short presentations/discussions, children will discover the features of heroic ideals and draw, from their own imagination, mythical, historical, fictional or everyday heroes, following comic book techniques.

It follows, then, that comic book characters could not be left out of this workshop. The comic books we read and love are full of many different heroes!

In May’s workshop, we will turn our attention to superheroes like Superman and Spiderman, with their supernatural powers and fascinating costumes, tirelessly fighting the bad guys, stopping crime, and saving the planet from all sorts of disasters. Yet, there are also other heroes, like the diminutive, brilliant and brave Asterix, who takes it upon himself to save his small Gaulish village from the Roman invasion.
