eikastiko kentima

Following the announcement for the latest public health measures, the workshop is cancelled.

In ancient times, embroidery was a daily and necessary activity for women. Later it became an asset based on which women prepared their dowry. Today, embroidery is considered another form of art, creativity and skill, as well as an escape from the rapid and stressful rhythm of everyday life.

During the workshop, we will be introduced to simple and more complex embroidery techniques and we will create our own needlecraft, inspired by Susumu Shingu's sculptures at the SNFCC. Starting by choosing the most suitable fabric to embroider, we will be guided through basic embroidery techniques until we have a complete piece of work in our hands.
