Discussion: Autism, the path to development

On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day on Saturday, April 2, 2022, the Sports Excellence program, operating under the scientific oversight of the 1st Department of Orthopedic Surgery of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School, in cooperation with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), are presenting the informational discussion “Autism, the Path to Development,” at the Book Castle of the National Library of Greece at the SNFCC.

Special Olympics Exhibition Football Game

On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, Special Olympics Hellas, in cooperation with the Sports Excellence program, are hosting a presentation of Unified Football, on Saturday, April 2, at 13:00, at the Great Lawn of the SNFCC, featuring Special Olympics Hellas Mixed Ability Teams (athletes with and without disabilities) in a symbolic exhibition game.   Saturday 02/04 | 13.00 - 14.00 GREAT LAWN

Educational Activity: Getting to know Assistance Dogs

On Saturday, April 2, on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, the SNFCC will be hosting an educational activity for children on the spectrum, over the course of which, within a short time of play, children will come into contact with assistance dogs by participating in entertaining and creative activities.

Schools at the SNFCC | Getting to know Autism through Sports

Getting to know Autism through Sports | Friday, April 1, 2022 On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day (April 2), students from all educational grades of special and general education will have the opportunity to participate in joint experiential activities with Special Olympics Hellas athletes, promoting the message of inclusion, equality, and equal opportunities, in an immersive manner. Through four fun activities, all children, on or off the autism spectrum, will try out adapted sporting events, dance and have lots of fun.
