This year, like last year, on the occasion of World Braille Day on January 4 and in the context of SNFCC’s events focusing on Accessibility, our young Members are invited to a special visit and educational program at the Tactual Museum of Athens — the only tactual museum in Greece and one of only 5 worldwide.
The program we will attend during our visit aims to inform kids and raise awareness about the visually impaired. It consists of three units: first, a brief theory about blindness, the needs, obstacles and everyday lives of visually impaired people; second, mobility of the visually impaired; and, lastly, an acquaintance with the Braille system.
