Penny Marathon

For a fourth year, the SNFCC is hosting Penny Marathon’s last 10k, in which participants can run or cycle. In the last 2K, dogs can participate along with their guardians!

Penny Marathon began in 2012 in Athens. Today, it is a free event that takes place on the same day around the world. It is a marathon organized in order to raise public awareness about the plight of stray and unwanted animals in Greece, recognizing and supporting the work of hundreds of volunteers who work for the well-being of animals in our country. The marathon was named after Penny, a stray dog that, like thousands of others, could not survive on the streets of Athens.
